Plunket is the largest provider of free support services for development, health and wellbeing of children under five in New Zealand. Part of their care service include an enrolment process for new-borns and regular home visits.
Every month, they fill out over 80,000 enrolment forms or records of contact by hand. This averages out to 16,500 pages of data, with 500 characters or markings per page to be processed manually. After six years of successful partnership, Plunket continues to turn to Fujifilm Process Automation to deliver a consistent high standard service of capturing health data.
Fujifilm Process Automation provided an on-going supplementary digitisation services and delivered the following outcomes:
- Reduced the average time taken of 30 days to complete a registration.
- Improved accuracy and quality of captured data through an automatic extraction of health data through an optical character recognition (OCR) and optical mark recognition (OMR).
